Death on the mountain

Very sad news...
Disney says that the ride was running fine, and nothing malfunctioned. My thoughts goes out to the family.

Expedition: PINS

For those of you interested in Pin Collecting, Animal Kingdom and Expedition Everest will be holding a hard-ticket after-hours pin event. The pins are far less attraction-specific than I had hoped for, but you may be interested in going.

You can RSVP, see the pins, and get all the infromation you need over at DizPins.

http://www.dizpins.com/events/expedition_pins/info.htm

If anyone ends up going, be sure to bring back pictures and info!

Yeti footprint found!

Josh Gates, the very funny host of Sci-Fi's Destination Truth made news in Kathmandu and around the world, when he and his crew made a startiling discovery: a set of three VERY good Yeti Footprints in the Himalayas.
You can read the whole story here:
Don't say Professer Pema Dorje didn't warn you.

Attention Expedition Everest Team Members:

EpcotServo infront of Forbidden Mountain back during previews on January 2006

Nameste! Welcome to the unoffical webpage for everybody's favorite Animal Kingdom attraction: Expedition Everest: Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. I decided to take on this venture after finding out that the OFFICAL website for Expedition Everest, had long been removed. And so, I'm very happy to introduce to you: the UNOFFICAL Expedition Everest page! And one-upping the old one, is the fact that YOU, the viewer at home, can join what will henceforth be known as "The Broken Trestle Club" You know, those people you see in the Single Riders line over-and-over again? The ones who always will be happy to tell you where he or she's favorite seat is? The ones that endlessly keep track of what is and isn't working? The ones who have been riding over-and-over again for nearly two years? The ones who know that it didn't really open in april? The ones who watch the making of show many, many times? Well if that sounds like you, I invite you to join the Expedition. Just say you want to join, by posting your screename in ANY of the posts on this site. Please, no real names!
So, you ask, why visit this site? Well, here's some of the great features I have here.
-The Expedition Everest Gallery
Did you know that before my Updates, I still took pictures ? Here in the Expedition Everest Gallery, you will see ALL of my EE pictures from January of 2006 to November 2007? Even some pictures from back in late 2005, before it opened! See all of these pictures for the first time, in the gallery link at the top left of the page!
PLUS: As a club member, I'll allow you to post pictures in the "Club Member's Photos" section of the gallery! Please include your screen name in the caption, so I know it was you. all others will be deleted, so please post it ONLY in the "Club Member's Photos" section, including your screename in the caption. Again, all else will be deleted.
-Effects Status!
With a simple gander at the box towards the top left of the page, you can see the last known status of the effects on Everest! So you can see if the Yeti is working before you head out the door.
PLUS: As a Club Member, you can post in the comments section what the status of the effects were, and I will Update it! Please include the date of the effects you saw, and remember to sumbit it to me, ONLY if you saw it (or lack thereof) with your own eyes.
